In last year’s game, Vanderbilt defeated Houston, 41-‐24, in front of more than 42,000 fans, the second highest attendance in the bowl’s history ranking only behind the 2013 Bowl when a record 55,099 fans witnessed Ole Miss defeat Pittsburgh 38-17.
